I survived my first full year of 40. I turned 41 on Jan. 3. As my friend Carrie (41) says--it's just a number! 41 was much easier than 40, though.
We had a nice little dinner at Rodney's Mom's and of course she made the traditional chocolate icing and yellow cake birthday cake for me. The girls got me Clinique's Happy perfume and Rodney got me a clock/radio/iPod docking little sound system.
When I returned to school, some of my students had cards and a little gift for me! Unheard of coming from teenagers! That made going back to school after Christmas break much easier.
I am looking forward to this year!!!!!
